Villa GUS is above all a charming villa which has succeeded in reconciling the proportions of the small traditional St. Barths villa with a very contemporary look and feel.
Situated on the part of Gustavia called "La Pointe" on the ocean side, the house looks out on the Caribbean, and has the double advantage of being completely quiet, and at the same time being near to the harbour with its lively activities: shops, restaurants, and of course the spectacle of the most beautiful yachts in the world.
Decorated in warm colors and wood with antique furniture and objects brought back from the owners travels, the rooms give a feeling of calm and serenity.
In the dining room the large teak table from India can seat up to eight. The fully equipped kitchen, made of wood and stainless steel.
A small, more intimate and private room serves as an office and library during the warmer hours of the day. It is also a good space for listening to music or watching TV. The bathroom with its spacious shower looks out on the patio.
The bedroom is decorated in delicate shades of grey and white offset by the English mahogany furniture. It looks out on the patio and has a quiet and peaceful feeling.
The patio, with its hammock and palm trees caressed by the trade winds, is the ideal place for a siesta or for stargazing.
From the large terrace on the ocean side one can see all the surrounding islands: St. Martin, Saba and St. Kitts. From here one can watch spectacular sunsets, and observe the sailing boats gently come back to harbour.
An outside staircase gives direct access to a second terrace which directly overhangs the water. That is the place for sunbathing, between the sky and the blue-green sea. Here one feels naturally drawn to meditation.
A plunge pool is suspended in the rocks down from the lower terrace with 3 steps and there is bench to sit in the water and enjoy the view.
The soul of the house is also its little cat "Ti Gris", who arrived on the premises the first day that work started on the villa. He is gentle, affectionate and independent. He usually sleeps in the daytime, hunts at night, and appreciates being petted from time to time.

Payment Conditions: There is a 12.5% service charge for all villa reservation.(New) As of Jan 1st 2008 there is a 5% tourism tax that will added and collected.
Payment of the Balance: You must pay the balance of the gross rental fee at least 60 days before arrival. If the balance is not received before the due date, CaribbeanWaves LLC shall be entitled to retain all deposits and to cancel the booking without prejudice to a claim for cancellation charges. Full payment of the gross rental fee is required for all reservations made within 60 days of arrival.
Cancellations: Cancellation by you will result in your forfeit of 20% of the gross rental fee as liquidated damages if such cancellation is 60 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival; 30% of the gross rental fee as liquidated damages if 15-59 days prior to scheduled arrival; and 100% of the gross rental fee as liquidated damages if 14 days or less prior to scheduled arrival. Cancellations must be made in writing to CaribbeanWaves LLC.
No-shows, late arrivals, reductions in the number of people in the group after arrival, and early departures are all non-refundable. Any reduction in the number of nights reserved will be subject to cancellation fees.
Changes: After arrival, Villa changes are not permitted except for extreme cases, including loud construction or major problems with the villa.
