For example, you can leave at 9:00am from St Martin Oyster Pond to St Barths on Wednesday, and come back the same day at 5:00pm from St Barths to St Martin Oyster Pond (day trip). You can also leave at 6:45pm from St Martin Oyster Pond to St Barths on Wednesday, and come back on Tuesday at 7:30am from St Barths to St Martin Marigot...

Great Bay Express
| The Great Bay Express ferry makes daily crossings between Phillipsburg, St Maarten and St Barth. The main vessel is the "Shantiwa", a Louisiana built aluminium 65' mono-hull. There are two outside decks (one covered) and one air-conditioned salon. The total capacity is 130 passengers and the ride takes a short 45 minutes. The round-trip fare for adults purchasing a ticket in advance is 90 euros; the cost is 95 euros if the ticket is purchased on the day of departure. A one-way crossing is 55 euros when purchased in advance and 60 euros if purchased on the day of departure. Tickets are for sale at the travel agency Saint Barth Tours and Travel, Gare Maritime on La Pointe in Gustavia. You can also call the Great Bay Express at 011 590 590 52 45 06, fax them at 590 590 52 41 38, or email them at sbh.ferry@orange.fr Coming from Princess Juliana Airport (SXM) you just have to take a cab and ask to be driven to "Great Bay Express at Bobby's Marina in Philipsburg". The ride takes typically about 20 minutes, but on heavy traffic days it can takes up to 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the marina you will have to present your passports and tickets before boarding. Cut off time is 10 minutes prior scheduled departure. Taking the boat from St-Barth, you have to check-in at our booth on the Gustavia ferry pier about 1/2 hour prior to the departure. You can travel with a dog at not extra charge. Small ones will be allowed on a leash, big ones in a cage, but in both case, they will have to travel outside (pets are not allowed in the main salon for hygienic reasons). Pets must travel with a valid documentation to be presented to the immigration officer if requested. | ||
